MARGIT PUKONEN is the Program Director at The Speech and Stuttering Institute in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Margit was among the first employees hired to develop and run group therapy programs for preschool children with speech and language needs at what was then known as the Speech Foundation of Ontario. She has shared her knowledge and experience on this topic with clinicians across Ontario through conference presentations and workshops. Margit has also coauthored a chapter on group treatment for preschoolers with language disorders. Margit is currently involved in the development of a provincial (Ontario, Canada) motor speech care pathway and is participating in related training, evaluation and implementation initiatives.
